ALIGNING YOUR HEART WITH THE HEART OF GOD

  • PST EMEKA IFEZULIKE
Date preached July 13, 2026

In this message, Pastor Emeka Ifezulike explores the spiritual significance of aligning one’s heart with the heart of God. The teaching emphasizes that the heart is the core of a person’s being, and true transformation must occur from within.

Key Takeaways:
The State of the Heart: Drawing from  Jeremiah 17:9-10 and  Ezekiel 36:25-27, the speaker notes that the human heart can be deceitful, but God searches the heart to reveal the truth (4:14 – 5:44).
Outward Expression: Jesus taught that what comes out of a person—their words and actions—reveals what is truly stored in the heart (6:14 – 7:07). This is why guarding the heart with diligence is crucial (5:47).
Lessons from Solomon: The speaker uses the life of  King Solomon as a cautionary tale. Despite his wisdom, his heart was turned away from God due to his attachments to worldly things, demonstrating that wisdom does not guarantee obedience (26:12 – 32:36).
True Worship: Sincere worship is a matter of the heart. The teaching highlights that God seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth, rather than just through outward religious rituals (41:04 – 41:50).
Divine Transformation: The speaker encourages listeners to ask God to perform a “surgery” on their hearts, replacing a heart of stone with a heart of flesh, enabling them to walk worthy of their calling (49:43 – 50:12).

The sermon concludes with a call to prayer, inviting the congregation to ask God to search their hearts and lead them in the way everlasting (50:43 – 52:00).
